RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
  • Hire, train, and supervise restaurant employees

  • Create staff schedule to ensure appropriate staffing

  • Assist in inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment, forecasting needs

  • Take ownership of budgets and cost control methods to minimize expenses

  • Address customer needs, comments, and complaints

  • Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards

  • Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards

  • Ensure incoming staff complies with company policy

  • Training staff to follow restaurant procedures

  • Organizing schedules

  • Work closely with back-of-the-house and ownership to create a streamlined, positive, and efficient workplace

  • Operate POS systems, back-of-house systems and other industry-related operating systems

  • Understand, follow, and disseminate local regulations

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Prior work as a manager or supervisor

  • At least a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • 5+ years of food and beverage service industry experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of general restaurant operations, including personnel management, staffing, training, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent leaderships skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs in accordance with budgets

  • Comfortable setting priorities and delegating tasks as needed

  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
